Camilo Diaz Jr. is a Mexican-American visual journalist based in Fort Worth, Texas. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in Photojournalism from the University of North Texas, specializing in visual storytelling.
His experience includes a year-long multimedia fellowship at the Fort Worth Report, where he worked as both a photojournalist and writer, covering local news. He was also selected as an NPR NextGen Radio mentee, honing his skills in audio and visual storytelling.
Camilo has also worked as a video intern at KERA, the NPR and PBS member station for North Texas, where he gained valuable mentorship and hands-on experience as a video producer. His work has been published in KERA News, The Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Report, and The Texas Tribune.
